Technical Product Owner, Wall Street Office (WSO) · New York, NY or Dallas, TX · $130,000–$170,000 base · Hybrid
Our client, an investment manager, is hiring a technical Product Owner/BA to own its Wall Street Office platform for the credit operations group.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the go-to WSO expert for credit operations, learning how the team runs deals, facilities, trades, servicing, reconciliation and month-end close in the platform.
- Turn business needs into technical and functional specifications that cover data flows, API specs and integration logic, and write epics and user stories for the backlog.
- Validate how WSO exchanges data with other systems: test APIs end to end, check data mapping, and confirm errors are handled correctly.
- Work with support to resolve cash, position and accrual breaks and servicing events (paydowns, PIK, rate resets, amendments), querying WSO data in SQL to research and validate.
- Plan and run upgrade and release testing, including regression and UAT sign-off, and partner with the vendor on issue logging and enhancement testing.
- Look after WSO’s links to agent banks, administrators, trustees, pricing vendors and ClearPar, and drive fixes when data quality slips in WSO or downstream.
- Map current and future-state processes to surface control gaps and manual work.
- Act as the bridge between business and technology teams, and train users with guides and live sessions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on WSO work on the technology side (configuring, supporting, upgrading or testing it), not only as an end user.
- Expert command of WSO setup (deals, facilities, contracts) and its reconciliation and transaction-processing workflows.
- 7+ years as an operations or business analyst at an asset manager, hedge fund or comparable firm.
- A strong grasp of CLOs, syndicated and private credit loans, revolvers and delayed draws, and the full loan lifecycle through settlement, servicing, reconciliation and month-end close.
- Skill at writing precise technical requirements, data mapping documents and integration specs.
- Well versed in SDLC practices.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio or Lucid.
- A bachelor’s in computer science, economics, finance or a related field.
- Pluses: Geneva or other investment accounting platform experience, including migration work; WSO upgrade or implementation projects; SQL; REST/SOAP API testing and documentation with Swagger, Postman or SoapUI; Power BI.

The annual base salary range is $130,000 to $170,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
