Role Description The Marketing Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Virginia Beach, VA. This role supports the planning, promotion, and execution of educational events and networking forums by coordinating marketing campaigns across email, web, and social media channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with market research, developing marketing materials, updating event listings and website content, and supporting outreach to potential attendees, partners, and sponsors. The Marketing Associate will help track campaign performance, maintain contact databases, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding. This role also involves supporting onsite event marketing needs, contributing to project timelines, and providing general administrative support to the marketing function. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear writing, professional emailing, and confident interpersonal communication. Candidates should possess Market Research skills, such as gathering and analyzing audience, competitor, and industry data to inform marketing strategies. Candidates should possess Sales and Marketing skills, including basic lead generation, campaign support, and familiarity with promotional tactics. Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including organizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and coordinating with team members and external partners. Additional beneficial qualifications include attention to detail, proficiency with common office and marketing software (e.g., CRM tools, email marketing platforms, social media), and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in events, hospitality, or nonprofit/tribal-focused organizations and a demonstrated interest in Native American communities are preferred but not required.
