Agile Coach

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Coach for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Chandler, AZ. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

This role is focused on serving the needs of one or more Scrum teams to drive performance and growth. The ideal candidate will optimize the flow of stories, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and coach teams on Agile principles within a Scaled Agile model to empower them to become self-managing and fulfill their cross-functional potential.

Responsibilities:

• Optimize the flow of stories and the value delivered by one or more Scrum teams
• Focus on serving the needs of the team to drive performance and growth
• Coordinate and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, manage dependencies for the team, and provide visibility into team delivery plans and progress
• Enable continuous improvement within the team
• Ensure impediments are resolved quickly and the team follows their agreed-to processes
• Foster a good relationship between the Product Owner and the development team
• Coach the Agile mindset and principles, empowering the team to become self-managing

Requirements:

• Guide and coach one or more teams on Scrum practices, and develop their understanding of Agile principles
• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (for example, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives)
• In a Scaled Agile model, facilitate scaled planning for the team (for example, Pre Planning/Preparation and PI Planning Events) and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs

Desired skills:

• Help the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforce the agreements
• Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog (in collaboration with the PO)
• Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the team
• Promote and facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments

Pay range: $85.07 - $93.07 per hour
