Growing together.As a senior member on the OptumRx Specialty & Home Delivery Pharmacy FP&A team, you will report to the Vice President of Finance and serve as a financial advisor and strategic partner to top Specialty & Home Delivery business executives. This role is built for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple, competing deliverables , and who can independently manage an operating cadence, create clarity amid ambiguity, and consistently deliver executive-ready insights.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Strategic Financial LeadershipLead volume forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes across Specialty & Home Delivery pharmacies, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business objectivesOwn and manage the consolidated forecast and reporting cadence, including establishing clear timelines, dependencies, and review cycles across deliverablesDrive consistency and quality in executive-level volume & financial outputs, ensuring clear, actionable insights for leadershipBusiness Planning & AnalysisDevelop and oversee business planning initiatives that deliver insight-driven analyses and support strategic decision-makingConduct ad-hoc financial and operational analyses to support cost optimization and strategic decision-makingAnalytics & Metrics DevelopmentDesign and enhance analytics frameworks and performance metrics to improve visibility into volume performanceTranslate complex data into actionable insights that connect results, trends, and business drivers for senior leadershipSystem Enhancement & OptimizationIdentify and implement system and process improvements that enhance efficiency, scalability, and accuracyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology and process upgrades that validate and synthesize data to inform financial planningExecutive Advisory & InfluenceServe as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership, proactively influencing decisions through data-driven insightsEvaluate financial plans and operational metrics to guide strategic directionEnsure alignment across stakeholders by communicating clear recommendations and maintaining a forward-looking perspectiveTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, develop, and mentor a team member in a matrixed environmentSet clear expectations, delegate effectively, and ensure high-quality deliverablesProvide oversight and direction across team outputs, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive financial story is deliveredFoster a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field7+ years of relevant, high-impact finance experience1+ years in FP&A, P&L ownership, or consolidation-type roleProven excellent communication and organization skillsDemonstrated solid analytics background and attention to details Preferred Qualifications:2+ years of experience in pharmacy, PBM, or broader healthcare environments (e.g., health systems, payers, or healthcare services)1+ years of people leadership including setting direction, delegating effectively, and ensuring high-quality team deliverablesExperience managing multiple, concurrent deliverables in a fast-paced environment, including prioritization and on-time executionExperience with enterprise financial systems such as PeopleSoft/OracleBackground creating insight-driven financial analysis with executive-ready narrativesDemonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross-functional environment Demonstrated solid business acumen with the ability to proactively partner cross-functionally, validate inputs, and synthesize information into clear recommendationsDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, including leveraging evolving technologies to enhance FP&A processes and team productivity*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
