Production Planning Supervisor

Location: Greenfield, MA
Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

BETE is seeking a Production Planning Supervisor to lead our production planning and purchasing teams. In this role, you’ll build effective production schedules, coordinate materials and suppliers, and work across departments to meet customer needs while improving lead times, inventory use, and manufacturing flow.

What you’ll do

• Lead, coach, and develop the planning and purchasing teams; set daily priorities and monitor performance.
• Create and adjust production schedules as customer requirements, orders, and shop capacity change.
• Partner with Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, and production teams to resolve scheduling and manufacturing challenges.
• Oversee purchasing of raw materials, components, and outside processing; review purchase orders and negotiate supplier pricing, terms, and delivery.
• Maintain ERP planning parameters, including safety stock levels, and use reports and KPIs to identify improvements.
• Help introduce new products into production and improve existing processes for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

What you’ll bring

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an associate degree in a related field with at least three years of manufacturing process planning experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and metalworking processes, such as CNC machining, welding, and investment casting.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, production scheduling, inventory, and bills of materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with data analysis or programming languages such as Python or C# is helpful.
