Hospital Inventory Clerk 2 Schedule This position is two 10‑hour shifts on Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. Shift differentials for night and weekend hours. What You Can Expect Maintains a perpetual inventory of material, equipment, supplies and other general stock items. Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to records. Computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory levels. Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count. Investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods. Re‑stocks items as necessary. Labels shelves. May maintain, edit and troubleshoot case preference cards to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Liaises with vendors and purchasing agents, and prepares deliveries. Leads and initiates performance improvement projects that are relevant to inventory management. Provides subject matter expertise in and conducts all inventory-related activities. Leads other support staff and/or volunteers as assigned. Assists in analysis needed for supply expense variance to budget. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
