About the Position

This unit caters to a wide variety of patient diagnoses, including both chronic and acute conditions. Patients may present with cardiac, pulmonary, renal, gastrointestinal issues, sepsis, and some surgical cases. This position provides a great opportunity to learn and grow in a nursing role. The nurse will have a patient ratio of 3:1. Every other weekend work is required. The nurse is expected to float as needed. Candidates must be open to a blocked schedule request. The facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and a major teaching hospital. Nursing staff supports a multidisciplinary approach including various healthcare teams. A variety of specialized equipment is utilized within the unit.
