The Marketing Operations Manager/Team Leader is responsible for aligning marketing initiatives with company goals, driving growth for the credit union and value for its members. This role will design and lead the end-to-end processes for campaign and program development focusing on operational efficiency, enhancing the impact of marketing initiatives through the adoption of data-driven methodologies. The Marketing Operations Manager/Team Leader works alongside the marketing business line partners in collaboration with stakeholders across the credit union to define and unify the annual media strategy, as well as create and oversee the fully integrated marketing project and campaign schedule.

  1. Collaborate with the VP of Marketing and the broader marketing team to create a fully integrated, strategic marketing plan aligning to the credit union's strategic goals with a focus on supporting specific business line objectives
  2. Build and evolve a best-in-class marketing operations team which can adapt and scale to meet the credit union's needs as the credit union expands both in products/services and geographic representation
  3. Lead development and implementation of the annual media strategy; monitor media performance and collaborate with marketing business line partners to ensure continuous optimization of the media mix
  4. Partner with marketing business lines and stakeholders to deeply understand campaign objectives and help deliver solutions through effective design, testing, and implementation
  5. Manage relationships with external agencies and marketing partners to ensure accountability and quality delivery of marketing services
  6. Build and strengthen the evolving marketing operations function including marketing project management; collaborate with leadership on resource planning, capacity allocation, and prioritization
  7. Lead initiatives and develop systems and processes to streamline marketing workflow; identify tools and resources to improve efficiency and throughput
  8. Monitor expenses and campaign costs ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and efficient allocation of resources for the greatest ROI
  9. Establish and maintain marketing processes, workflows, and operational standards to drive efficiencies in marketing operations, ensuring consistent brand experience and compliance with relevant industry regulations and credit union guidance
  10. Oversee the production of marketing collateral, including print materials, digital assets, advertisements, and promotional items
  11. Stay informed about regulatory changes that impact marketing practices in the financial industry
  12. Stay up to date with industry's best practices, emerging trends, and marketing technologies to continuously improve marketing operational efficiency; deliver timely, actionable insights and recommendations to support ongoing growth
  13. Collaborate with VP of Marketing to prepare executive-level business cases to advocate for continued investment in marketing technology and capabilities
  14. Serve as a leader within the marketing department, collaborating with other leaders to develop, build and grow a best-in-class marketing team

Strategic and outside-the-box approach to problem-solving, with an enthusiasm for using technology to propel marketing efficiencies and drive credit union objectives

Proven proficiency across marketing technology platforms and tools

Ability to lead and influence team members at all levels regardless of reporting structure

Keen sense for identifying strengths and developing talent among direct reports

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field or equivalent experience required

Minimum of six (6) years of experience in planning and implementing complex, multi-channel marketing projects; experience in project management, marketing operations or digital media placements is preferred

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing in financial services preferably in a role covering a diverse and broad product/service offering

Experience leading, coaching, and developing a high performing team

Familiarity with credit union operations, products, and services is desirable

Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in the financial services industry

Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams with contributors at all levels within the organization

Strong understanding of current and emerging marketing technologies and best practices

Broad understanding of marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools

Proficiency with standard office equipment, computer programs, and product management software

Some travel may be required to fulfill duties, career development, and/or responsibilities

Richland, WA - $97,069.57 - $161,782.61

Renton, WA - $110,306.33 - $183,843.88

*While our full pay range is listed, most new team members typically start between the minimum and midpoint based on their experience and qualifications. This approach gives room to grow within the role as your career progresses with us!
