Job Title: Lead Kitchen Cook (One-Person Kitchen)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable, motivated lead cook to operate a small, 1-2 person kitchen in a busy bar or restaurant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in consistency, and can handle a steady flow of orders during peak hours.

Our menu features classic bar favorites, including burgers, chicken sandwiches, cheesesteaks, and a variety of appetizers. The right candidate will be comfortable managing the kitchen from prep to service while maintaining quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items, including burgers, chicken, cheesesteaks, and appetizers
• Inventory management to optimise purchasing decisions
• Lead 2 other cooks
• Increase menu options & build a lunch crowd
• Manage the kitchen independently during service
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation
• Handle food prep and basic inventory needs
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards
• Work efficiently during busy bar hours and maintain ticket flow

Requirements:

• Previous cooking or short-order cook experience preferred
• People management skills preferred
• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a small kitchen
• Comfortable cooking multiple items at once in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
• Must be able to work Saturdays
