Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
• Handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
• Plate dishes attractively and efficiently for service
• Support other kitchen staff during busy periods and special events
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Manage inventory levels of ingredients and notify management of shortages
• Contribute to maintaining a positive, team-oriented kitchen environment

Experience

• Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
• Proven culinary experience in restaurant or fine dining settings
• Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including knife proficiency
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Background in the food industry with a focus on quality service and presentation
• Familiarity with food service operations, including serving and food industry best practices
