Performance Responsibilities Plan, organize and carry out activities related to childcare, including daily report cards. Develop creativity, imagination, language and motor coordination in children following the Environmental Rating Guidelines. Provide information to parents and involve them in the educational process. Observe, evaluate and refer children to appropriate medical or social assessments when appropriate. Meet with program staff to discuss infant/toddler education and the development of short- and long-term goals for the educational success of the child. Attend professional development opportunities and assignments as assigned through the New Bedford Public Schools. Attend to all other assignments as requested. Reports to: Program Director Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Position Type: Part-time Job Categories Classroom Teacher > Early Childhood Classroom Teacher > Preschool Job Requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Early Education and Childcare Infant - Toddler Teacher Certification. Experience in working with infants and toddlers. Demonstrates ability to be flexible as to working comfortably with infants, toddlers and young parents. Preferred Qualifications Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field Associate degree preferred.
