Role Overview
The Actimize & AWS Architect is responsible for designing and delivering scalable, cloud-based financial crime and AML solutions using the NICE Actimize platform integrated with Amazon Web Services. This role defines end-to-end architecture across data ingestion, detection engines, case management, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring regulatory compliance, performance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Solution Architecture

• Design enterprise-grade AML and fraud detection solutions using Actimize:
  • IFM (Integrated Fraud Management)
  • RCM (Risk Case Manager)
  • ActOne (Case Management)
• Define:
  • End-to-end system architecture across cloud, data, and application layers
• Ensure:
  • Scalability, resiliency, and high availability of AML platforms

Cloud Architecture (AWS Focus)

• Architect solutions on AWS using services such as:
  • Amazon S3 (data lake storage)
  • AWS Glue (ETL & data catalog)
  • Amazon Redshift (analytics layer)
  • Amazon Kinesis (stream processing)
• Design:
  • Cloud-native, hybrid, and migration architectures for Actimize workloads

Data & Integration Architecture

• Define data pipelines from:
  • Core banking systems
  • Payment systems (ACH, SWIFT, wires, cards)
  • External AML sources (watchlists, KYC, sanctions data)
• Design integration using:
  • ETL tools like Informatica PowerCenter
  • API-based integrations and event-driven architectures
• Ensure proper mapping to:
  • Actimize Canonical Data Model (CDM)

Real-Time & Big Data Processing

• Architect streaming solutions using:
  • Apache Kafka
  • Apache Spark
• Enable:
  • Real-time transaction monitoring and fraud detection

AML & Fraud Detection Design

• Define detection frameworks for:
  • Structuring, layering, velocity checks, anomaly detection
• Guide tuning of:
  • Scenarios to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy

Security, Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with:
  • Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN)
  • Financial Action Task Force (FATF)
• Implement:
  • Secure data architecture, encryption, and access controls
  • Data lineage and audit readiness frameworks

Technical Leadership

• Lead architecture reviews and provide guidance to:
  • Developers, data engineers, and DevOps teams
• Define:
  • Architecture standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks

Performance & Optimization

• Optimize:
  • ETL pipelines, Actimize processing jobs, and cloud workloads
• Ensure:
  • Low latency and high throughput for AML processing systems

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with:
  • AML compliance teams and fraud operations
  • Business analysts and product owners
  • Program managers and delivery leads
• Translate:
  • Business requirements into scalable technical architecture

DevOps & Modern Engineering Practices

• Integrate:
  • CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
• Support:
  • Containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • NICE Actimize architecture and implementation
• Deep knowledge of:
  • AWS cloud architecture and services
  • Data engineering and ETL pipelines
  • Distributed systems and microservices

Cloud & Data Engineering

• Experience with:
  • AWS data services (S3, Glue, Redshift, Kinesis)
  • Streaming and batch processing systems
  • Data lakes and lakehouse architectures

Integration Skills

• Experience with:
  • APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture
  • ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS)

Domain Knowledge

• Strong understanding of:
  • AML transaction monitoring
  • Fraud detection systems
  • Banking data domains (KYC, payments, customer data)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as:
  • Actimize Developer, Data Architect, or Cloud Architect
• Experience with:
  • Big data frameworks like Spark

  • AML certification from ACAMS
