Project ManagerGrass Roots Project Location: Westwego, La Duration: 2 years or longer Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, 401K, Paid Time Off and Paid HolidaysRole Description:Position organizes and coordinates mechanical, technical, and operation resources, materials, and activities according to Client's project schedules and plans to achieve the project goals and objectives.Job Responsibilities:Perform work activities efficiently while continuously looking for cost-saving opportunitiesCoordinate a large number of activities at multiple project sitesCreate and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and engineering requirements associated with plant and facilities projectsIdentify resources needed and assigning individual responsibilitiesManage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scopeEffectively apply methodology and enforce project standardsAnalyze and manage project risks minimizing financial exposureVerify project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriatelyCoordinate in house and external resources to ensure fully executed project responsibilitiesWork closely with Commercial, Operations, Technical Services, Land, Right-of-Way, and Strategic Sourcing while directing third party contractors to safely conduct projectsPrepare weekly and monthly project progress reports such as cost forecasts using Excel and WordDevelop execution plan for projects and making decisions to do the jobStay current with regulations, industry standards, and other applicable technologiesQualifications & Skills for Success:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent years of experienceMinimum of 5 years + of hands-on experience in a Capital Project Management role in a plant and facilities environment and or pipeline projects
