Business Development Manager

We are seeking a driven Outside Sales professional to execute our US sales strategy, initiate contact with potential customers, identify their needs, and deliver Complete Packaging Solutions (CPS) and services. In this role, you will self-generate new opportunities, manage new accounts during their start-up phase, and build a thriving sales territory. Key Responsibilities Drive Revenue: Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets and key metric objectives within the designated territory. New Business Development: Proactively self-generate new opportunities by prospecting both new accounts and existing customer networks. Consultative Selling: Apply a consultative sales approach to all customer interactions, including engaging with C-level executives. Territory Execution: Utilize sales strategies to create an actionable plan to quickly develop and expand the assigned territory. Solution Pitching: Articulate complete packaging solutions (CPS) and services to convert prospects into long-term clients. Proposal & Design Coordination: Examine customer specifications, prepare tailored proposals, and collaborate with internal engineering teams on design requirements. Pipeline & CRM Management: Maintain strict adherence to sales processes (opportunity creation, quoting, order management) using Salesforce.com, keeping clear records of activities and expenses. Account Onboarding: Manage new customer relationships through their start-up phase before transitioning mature accounts to an In-House Account Manager. Market Awareness: Monitor and maintain awareness of competitor sales efforts and offerings within the local territory. Qualifications & Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Business, Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Mechanical Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience). Experience Proven outside sales or business development experience in at least one of the following areas: Multi-material packaging solutions Supply chain, logistics, warehousing, or inventory control Third-party packaging and/or contract packaging services Experience selling into target industries such as aerospace, robotics, telecom, medical machinery, energy, or heavy equipment/industries. Salesforce.com: Proficient in tracking opportunities and pipeline management. Consultative & Technical Sales: Skilled at understanding technical requirements and offering solution-based products.
