Dimensional Metrology Quality Inspector (CMM/FARO)

Step into a day on our quality teamIt’s 7:00 a.m. in Louisville. You power up the CMM, verify your gauges, and scan the morning queue of precision-machined parts bound for U.S. defense programs. By 8:30, you’re running a 100% First Article Inspection—dimensional and visual—against current drawings, technical instructions, and AS9100 requirements. Mid-morning, you’re validating height, length, ID/OD, true position, runout, concentricity, flatness, thread standards, and roundness. A feature trends out of tolerance? You huddle with the machinist, recommend a process tweak, and get production back on track.After lunch, you’re closing the loop: confirming part traceability, paperwork accuracy, and revision control; logging results with netInspec/Discuss and Microsoft Office 365; and preparing for a source inspection. You coordinate an external calibration and support a customer/government quality audit.
