RN - Hospice

Registered Nurse - HospiceImmediate start needed. Manager interviews are required. The facility has an average census of 150 patients. Case managers typically have 25 to 30 patients. Responsibilities include caring for patients following orthopedic surgeries, providing wound care, and managing chronic and acute conditions such as CHF and COPD. Experience with IV antibiotic teaching, central line care, medication pre-fills, and lab draws is essential. Support within the department is provided by scheduling, clinical management, and lead support teams. Technology used includes an EMR system and IV pumps provided through vendors. Travelers may be asked to support other agency locations if the census is low. Weekend rotations are typically once a month but can vary based on staffing needs. Overnight call is required from 5 PM to 8 AM on a rotation of once every 3 to 4 weeks. Holidays may require work if the assignment aligns with major holiday observances. Routine time off must be approved by the manager. Shift schedule typically consists of five 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, with a rotation for weekends and on-call duty.
