Job Details Job Title: Data Entry Specialist, Timekeeper Location: Elma, NY Employment: Temp (6 months) Industry: Aerospace and Defense Compensation: $23.00/hr Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Overview The Timekeeper ensures accurate recording, maintenance, and auditing of employee hours and attendance data. This role supports payroll accuracy by processing timesheets, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and labor regulations. Key Responsibilities Accurately input leave balances into the timekeeping system. Review and validate timekeeping data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies. Communicate with employees, supervisors, and HR/payroll teams to correct and clarify time entries. Maintain up-to-date records of attendance and absences. Generate and distribute timekeeping and attendance reports as needed. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information. Follow established procedures and recommend improvements for efficiency and accuracy. Requirements High School Diploma or GED. 1+ years of data entry and payroll experience. Preferred Qualifications Associate Degree in Business or Accounting. Timekeeping experience. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing. Familiarity with timekeeping or payroll systems (e.g., Workday, Kronos, ADP, or similar). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Basic understanding of payroll processes and labor laws. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
