Patient Services Specialist Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient‑centered medical homes, medication‑assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. Job Summary The Patient Services Specialist is responsible for front‑end business operations for the assigned clinic, including patient registration, verification of patient demographic information, creating and maintaining patient electronic charts, answering incoming calls, routing calls as needed, scheduling intake appointments within established timeframes in the CBI EHR/EPM scheduling system, completing insurance verifications, identifying patient amounts due, and referring uninsured patients for potential AHCCCS eligibility. Responsibilities Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information. Complete insurance verifications and determine patient amounts due. Identify and assist uninsured patients with funding or AHCCCS enrollment. Notify clinical team members when registration is complete. Schedule follow‑up appointments as indicated by the clinical team. Answer incoming calls and route as needed. Skills / Requirements High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare preferred. 1–3 years of experience with insurance verification and/or front‑desk experience in a medical office setting preferred, but not required. Knowledge of AHCCCS, insurance processes, and strong customer service skills. Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
