POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES: This is an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience organizing workers to fight for better treatment and standards on the job. This is a temporary, part time position that is intended to give interns the opportunity to learn the nuts and bolts of how to organize a union at a workplace. Examples of Duties: Conduct one‑on‑one organizing conversations Chart and map a workplace Effectively communicate with workers Learn how to use labor law to protect workers File wage and hour, Unfair Labor Practice, Health and Safety, and other complaints Perform other tasks and duties as assigned. Work to support other key local union priorities, as MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: Proven commitment to social and economic justice and improving the lives of working people. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual English/Spanish (written & verbal) is preferred but not required. All employees are required to be fully vaccinated and report their vaccination status as a condition of employment.
