Development Manager

MarketStreet Enterprises is seeking an experienced Development Manager to oversee the execution of commercial real estate development projects from concept through stabilization. The ideal candidate will have approximately 5+ years of development experience, strong financial and project management skills, and a proven ability to coordinate internal teams and external consultants to deliver projects on time and on budget. Key Responsibilities Manage all phases of the development process, including feasibility analysis, underwriting, entitlements, design, construction, lease-up and stabilization Prepare and maintain detailed development budgets, schedules, and financial models Coordinate and manage third-party consultants including architects, engineers, contractors, attorneys, and municipal agencies Lead due diligence efforts for acquisitions, zoning analysis, environmental reviews, and cost estimating Oversee entitlement, permitting, and approval processes with local jurisdictions Collaborate with leasing, asset management, and capital markets teams throughout the project lifecycle Monitor construction progress, review pay applications and change orders, and manage risk mitigation Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal and external stakeholders Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and lender/investor requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus) 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate development, construction management, or related roles Experience with office, retail, multifamily, or mixed-use development projects Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills Working knowledge of zoning, entitlements, construction processes, and development agreements Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with Argus, MS Project, or similar tools preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Preferred Attributes Experience working with institutional capital and/or joint venture structures Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with local consultants, contractors, and municipalities Entrepreneurial mindset with strong attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively while independently driving projects forward #J-18808-Ljbffr
