Work Environment

This role entails working onsite at our rehabilitation facility located in Tonawanda, New York. Our facility boasts a welcoming environment that promotes healing and recovery. You will be part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals dedicated to supporting each other and optimizing patient care. Our standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, with shifts from 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their physical capabilities and limitations, followed by the development of personalized treatment plans that address specific goals and outcomes.
• Implement various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise programs, and modalities such as electrical stimulation, to enhance recovery.
• Educate patients about their conditions and the rehabilitation process, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to each patient's care, sharing insights and making recommendations as needed.
• Participate in the clinical teaching of interns, residents, and other staff members, enhancing the knowledge base of the team and fostering an environment of continuous learning.
• Contribute to ongoing clinical research initiatives, aiming to improve treatment methodologies and patient outcomes within orthopedic physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with outpatient individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. This includes a diverse clientele ranging from athletes looking to return to competitive sports to older adults seeking to maintain their mobility and independence. Your expertise will help guide patients toward achieving their physical therapy goals, enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is essential.
• An active New York State Physical Therapy license is required for practice.
• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, specifically in orthopedic settings.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to tailor interventions to meet individual patient needs.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, vital for effectively interacting with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
