Pharmacy Technician II - InfusionThe Pharmacy Technician II - Infusion, under the direct supervision of the Production Manager or the Senior Director of Pharmaquip, prepares IV admixture solutions accurately, with the highest quality possible and, in a timely manner for clients. The Pharmacy Technician also participates in any other duties related to the dispensing of medications for which the job may require. Reports to the Production Manager.Education:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredKnowledge:Knowledge of Pharmaquip mission, organization and proceduresWorking knowledge of pharmaceutical mathematicsKnowledge of sterile technique and demonstrates aseptic technique proficiencyKnowledge of infusion nomenclatureKnowledge for the safety guidelines for handling chemotherapyFamiliar with equipment and supplies used in home infusionSkills:Ability to calibrate and use equipment to make IV and nutrition solutionsAbility to work with computers for data entry and manipulationAbility to change from one work project to another quickly as required by the workloadAbility to do high volume of work with few or no errorsAbility to keep good records for all work performedWorks well in isolation on tasks requiring patience and thoroughnessStrong attention to detail, follows protocols or procedures preciselyWorks within the limits of technical practice; practices self supervision and is a self-starterPractices teamwork both within the pharmacy department and with the internal customs of JHHCGRequired Licensure, Certification, etc.:Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy required.National certification-CPhTWork Experience:Six (6) months experience in the last three years as a home or hospital infusion technician preferredSalary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
