• Required Qualifications:
• 1+ year experience in an IHC/histology lab, or 2 years as a Histology Technician Trainee, or 1 year as a trainee plus completion of a NAACLS-accredited Histology program
• Must meet high-complexity requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical/medical lab science, or medical technology OR
• Associate degree in laboratory science or medical lab technology OR
• 60 semester hours (or equivalent) including:
• 24 hours of medical lab technology courses OR
• 24 hours of science (6 chemistry, 6 biology, 12 additional in chemistry/biology/MLT)
• AND
• Completion of an accredited clinical lab training program (ABHES or CAAHEP), or
• At least 3 months of documented IHC/histology high-complexity lab training
• Preferred Qualifications:
• HT/HTL (ASCP) certification eligible and preferred.
• QIHC is strongly advised

Histology Lab Supervisor

Aliso Viejo, CA:

• Education:
• One of the following is preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological Sciences, or a related field, plus applicable specialty training and experience; OR
• Master's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological Sciences, or a related field, with at least four years of relevant laboratory experience, including two years in a clinical laboratory setting; OR
• Associate degree in Science or equivalent with at least two years of laboratory training or experience in high-complexity testing (where permitted by state regulations).
• Experience:
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience in a histology or anatomic pathology environment preferred.
• Previous experience in a Lead Histotechnologist, Senior Histotechnologist, or supervisory role preferred.
• Experience with high-complexity testing environments strongly preferred.
• Certifications & Licensure:
• HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification required.
• State-specific laboratory licensure may be required based on location and applicable regulations.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in histologic techniques or immunohistochemistry (IHC) required
• Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) through the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) preferred
• State licensure, if applicable
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory
