Anatomic Pathology 2nd Shift

Prepares tissue specimens for microscopic examinations within the Dept of Anatomic Pathology with occasional guidance. Performs equipment maintenance, maintains departmental records, and adequate supplies. Responsible for high volume workload and stat requests.

Completes daily workload as assigned to include embedding, cutting, and staining tissue specimens. Performs and documents routine maintenance; maintains departmental records as assigned. Maintains department supplies at acceptable levels. The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.

Technical capabilities include equipment maintenance, diagnostic testing, mentoring & coaching, and quality assurance.
