Senior Technical Integration Engineer I Rocky Hill, CT Code – CIPT About the Role The Technical Integration Engineer drives the technical alignment of the High Pressure Compressor (HPC) or Low Pressure Turbine for the Geared Turbofan (GTF) engine programs, supporting MTU’s risk‑revenue sharing partnership and design responsibility. The engineer also prepares for the upcoming NGSA program, reports to the Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) Leader, and coordinates key development activities with MTU and Pratt & Whitney leaders. Your Tasks Drive module development and field support activities of GTF post‑certification activities, and pre‑design support for NGSA. Ensure content of technical reviews meets requirements, and that chiefs are satisfied with MTU’s technical position. Lead integration and closure of structural tasks; Safety Risk Assessments, rotor lifting, crack propagation and wear. Provide oversight to Engineering Change (EC) activities, drive actions to closure, and ensure gates are passed. Prepare presentation material and support Chiefs Meetings, CSMC or HSE reviews and Technical Reviews. Lead special technical topics to closure; i.e. DIVE investigations, hardware event support, systems integration topics. Coordinate risk assessment activities and ensure that risk mitigation steps are brought to closure. Provide technical support and guidance to the team; act as a mentor to junior team members. Act as back‑up for the CIPT lead and Deputy as required, backfill at meetings, etc. Work with Pratt & Whitney and MTU Munich colleagues on a regular basis, involving cultural intelligence and further strengthening of the P&W/MTU partnership. Your Profile Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in a relevant field. 5–12+ years of related engineering experience. 5 years of technical experience in management of high‑level technical challenges impacting systems and modules. Demonstrated technical competence in the related discipline. Occasional travel required, domestic and international. Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
