Warehouse WorkerYou will support day-to-day warehouse operations by accurately picking, packing, receiving, and storing products in a clean, climate-controlled, brand-new facility. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently during first shift hours.ResponsibilitiesPick products accurately from designated locations using RF scanners and other warehouse tools.Pack orders securely and efficiently to ensure products arrive in excellent condition.Unload trucks and transfer incoming materials to appropriate areas within the warehouse.Put product away in designated locations, maintaining organized and clearly labeled inventory.Handle materials using pallet jacks and other non-forklift equipment as required.Assist with receiving activities, including verifying shipments and updating inventory records.Support shipping operations by preparing orders for dispatch and staging them correctly.Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to maintain a safe work environment.Keep work areas clean, orderly, and free of hazards throughout the shift.Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to meet daily productivity goals.Essential Skills6 months to 1 year of experience in warehouse picking and packing or similar warehouse work.Hands-on experience with order picking and packing in a production or distribution environment.Ability to use RF scanners for locating, picking, and tracking inventory.Experience with basic material handling tasks, including moving and staging products.Ability to operate pallet jacks safely and effectively.Understanding of basic shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse setting.Capability to perform physically active work, including standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance and punctuality for first shift hours.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in a warehouse temp role or seasonal warehouse position.Comfort working in a structured environment with defined productivity and accuracy targets.Strong attention to detail when picking, packing, and labeling orders.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.Willingness to work overtime, including occasional 12-hour days when business needs require.Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to assist in different areas of the warehouse as needed.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Decorah, IA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
