Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and a CT or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Position is in the ICU of a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System,
• Level II Trauma Center setting,
• Mixed patient population - may include both critical and non-critical assignments within the unit,
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30),
• Every other weekend required,
• Floating required as needed,
• Charting system: Epic,
• Free parking available on site,

Job Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required,
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required,
• BLS certification required,
• No prior disciplinary actions or restrictions on nursing license,
• 1 professional reference required for consideration,
• Flu vaccine required - declinations are not accepted,
• COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions considered,

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates are not eligible for this position,
• Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler,
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved for this assignment,
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed,
• 13-week contract
