About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director for Clinical Development, a pivotal role that demands a visionary and strategic oncology leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the development of early-stage programs, with a focus on expanding the universe of precision oncology targets. This includes the design and execution of clinical trials involving targeted therapies, as well as overseeing the preparation of key regulatory documents. The role also involves leading and mentoring a team of Medical Directors, fostering a culture of scientific excellence, and representing the company within the external oncology community. The ideal candidate will have an MD with board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology, at least 11 years of oncology clinical development experience in biotech or pharma, and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing clinical development teams. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should be strategic, collaborative leaders with excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills. The role requires a deep knowledge of ICH-GCP, FDA, and global regulatory requirements, as well as the ability to influence across diverse scientific and operational teams. The successful candidate will be resourceful, adaptable, and execution-focused, with a passion for advancing innovative cancer therapies. Responsibilities also include partnering with project management and cross-functional leaders to drive governance, operational excellence, and program execution, as well as guiding clinical trial execution through investigator engagement, patient recruitment strategies, and quality oversight.
