Position Overview Perform advanced breakdown and preventive maintenance (PM) on complex plant machinery and facilities-related systems. Enhance machine utilization to assure process repeatability, uptime, and reduced changeover and set‑up times. Troubleshoot, repair, and document maintenance activities. Partner with management, engineering, and vendors on new equipment selection, specifications, and operator training. May lead and direct other employees. Essential Functions Conduct advanced breakdown and preventive maintenance including inspection, repair, and modification of complex plant machinery. Enhance machine utilization to ensure process repeatability, uptime, and reduced changeover and set‑up times. Troubleshoot, repair, and document breakdown maintenance activities. Partner with management, engineering, and vendors on new machinery/equipment selection, setup, specifications, and operator training. Work with internal teams to ensure efficient machine changeovers, setups, and project completion. Adhere to corporate and departmental safety guidelines. Support environmental initiatives. Assist in designing, assembling, or fabricating equipment and special machines. Contribute to plant layouts to facilitate machinery relocation and installation. Install, alter, and rebuild equipment to meet operational needs. Design and build control systems from conceptualization. Troubleshoot and repair machine control systems, power circuits, relay logic systems, PLC systems, and facilities-related systems. Document repairs, setups, maintenance, and PM activities to ensure equipment reliability and quality control. Recommend and implement system/equipment modifications and suggest spare parts for inventory to maintain reliability. Implement machine enhancements based on operational requirements. Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of three to five years of electrician experience. Valid driver’s license. MillerKnoll Inc. forklift and aerial platform operator’s license required; other equipment licensing as required by location or assignment. Demonstrated technical aptitude and initiative. Ability to interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, and printed instructions to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical/electrical problems. Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization. Computer literacy necessary. Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
