Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Current Special Education certification in Louisiana, or a valid Louisiana teaching certificate with a willingness to pursue SPED certification

• Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, implement, and document Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Employ varied teaching strategies and interventions to meet each student’s needs
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure integrated support services
• Regularly communicate progress and challenges to families and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain an organized and safe classroom conducive to learning
