Associate Attorney - Health Care and Life Sciences

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Health Care and Life Sciences practice in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves providing legal advice to health plans, independent practice associations, providers, payors, and vendors on managed care matters, regulatory compliance, and transactional issues. Duties Provide legal advice on managed care matters to various health entities. Advise on federal and California regulatory compliance, including Knox-Keene Act licensure. Draft and negotiate provider network participation and services agreements. Counsel clients on coverage, reimbursement, and risk-sharing arrangements. Advise accountable care organizations on Medicare programs and compliance. Support Medicare Advantage and Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan clients. Requirements Minimum of two years of relevant California managed care experience. Strong contract drafting background with interest in managed care operations. Admission to the California Bar or eligibility to be admitted. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications California Bar admission or eligibility. Skills Practical problem-solving skills.
