Medical Assistant
Rye Brook, NY
Hours:

• Monday – Friday: 7:00a – 4:30p

Responsibilities:

• Welcoming patients to procedure rooms and conducting initial clinical intake, including vitals (blood pressure, heigh/weight, pulse ox) and performing diagnostic tests or collections (EKGs, phlebotomy, spirometry)
• Managing the Epic EMR system to document patient medical histories and track medication and problem lists
• Directly assisting physicians and providers during various clinical procedures and ensuring patient records are maintained effectively
• Upholding strict infection control standards by cleaning and sanitizing exam rooms, instruments, and sterilization equipment between patient visits
• Handling front-desk administrative duties as needed, including answering phone calls, greeting visitors, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records
• Maintaining up-to-date working knowledge of healthcare compliance standards, including HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and current medical coding regulations

Qualifications:

• Medical Assisting degree
• Proficiency with phlebotomy, EKGs, and POCT
• Primary care experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Customer service skills

Compensation:

• $20-25/hr

You will be entitled to health insurance once employed for 60 days and you must work 30 hours per week, on average, per month to enroll and maintain health insurance through Complete Staffing Solutions.
