Final Filing Date: 6/25/2026 Job Description and Duties The CalSTRS Investment Operations and Services Division is seeking a motivated individual to work as an Analyst II on the Investment Business Services unit. The Investment Business Services unit, within the Investment Branch, provides administrative business services for the branch for tasks such as procurement, budgeting, personnel, travel, invoices and special projects. It performs analytical research, interprets data and completes sensitive projects. Under the direction of the Supervisor II, the Analyst II serves as a lead investment operations and project analyst supporting Investments Business Services (IBS). The incumbent strengthens investment operational infrastructure by coordinating strategic initiatives, driving cross‑functional projects, and delivering complex analytical work that supports investment program execution, risk management, and strategic decision‑making across the Investments Branch. Responsibilities Consolidate, validate, and interpret complex operational or program data. Support cross‑functional initiatives, special projects, or organizational programs. Develop clear dashboards, reports, and presentations that communicate trends, risks, and operational impacts. Maintain documentation such as standard operating procedures, desk manuals, or audit materials, ensuring alignment with current practices. Assess operational risks, prepare risk reports, and make data‑driven recommendations. Communicate and collaborate with leadership, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Manage multiple priorities, lead initiatives, and support continuous improvement efforts across programs or business areas. Partner with leadership on strategic operational initiatives, including facilities planning, logistical coordination, and systems development.
