What You'll Do:

• Provide comprehensive pathology services including surgical, GI, GU, neuropathology, dermatopathology, hematopathology, cytology, and clinical pathology.
• Perform blood bank duties, including night call responsibilities.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced physicians, histotechnologists, and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Engage in rapid evaluation of biopsies and interpret a high volume of cases in a technologically equipped laboratory.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Board-certified or eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Proficiency in surgical pathology, cytology, hematopathology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, and blood banking.
• Experience with CAP-accredited laboratories and Epic EMR systems.
• Ability to handle a case volume of 80-100 cases daily and perform blood bank callbacks.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with rapid on-site adequacy assessments for biopsies.
• Familiarity with Leica cryostats and Olympus BX40 microscopes.
• Past experience working in a hospital-based pathology lab.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• MD or DO degree with appropriate board certifications.
• At least 2 years of recent pathology practice, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Current Minnesota medical license or ability to obtain licensure.

Other Requirements:

• Credentialing process estimated to take approximately 90 days.
• Must comply with all applicable state, federal, and local laws, including licensure and certification requirements.
• No responsibility for grossing specimens or cutting frozen sections – supervision provided by on-site staff.
