This leading healthcare facility features a comprehensive hospital-based pathology laboratory with a Level 1 trauma designation. The laboratory maintains CAP certification and operates with a strong team of 6 physicians, 5 histotechnologists, 1 pathology assistant, and 1 cytotechnologist, providing excellent collegial support and professional development opportunities.

Job Details:
• Provide comprehensive anatomical and clinical pathology services in a hospital-based setting
• Coverage needed for open position due to resignation, starting August 10, 2026 until permanent hire
• Day shift schedule with hours between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM depending on rotation
• Call schedule every 7 days with 1:7 call ratio
• Average 40 patients per day with 80-100 cases read daily
• Anatomic pathology responsibilities include surgical pathology, GI, GU, neuropathology, dermatopathology, and hematopathology
• Clinical pathology duties encompass hematology, microbiology, chemistry/serology, and blood bank
• Handle bone marrow aspirate/biopsy interpretation and cytology
• Perform rapid evaluation of adequacy for image-guided biopsies
• Blood bank call responsibilities at night
• Work with state-of-the-art equipment including Leica cryostat and Olympus BX40 microscopes
• Utilize Epic EMR documentation system
• Board certification required with active Minnesota license preferred
• NPDB report required within 30 days of presentation
• Epic experience preferred
• Credentialing takes approximately 90 days to complete
• Other pathologists present during coverage for support and collaboration

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
