Marketplace Operations Specialist

Cashiers Office This position is a key member on the Marketplace Shared Services team, which supports all four campuses within the University of Missouri System. Marketplace Shared Services manages the Marketplace platform, supports departments, and helps create and maintain eCommerce visibility. The role oversees software‑based administrative tasks that impact the department’s mission, including processing student account adjustments, developing campus payment sites, and making adjustments as requested by clients. The position utilizes and understands the connection between Marketplace Administration, TouchNet Payment Gateway, and PeopleSoft General Ledger; logs outages and exceptions; and contributes to presentation resources. Key Responsibilities Customer Service (20%) - answer and respond to Marketplace tickets submitted through ZenDesk, troubleshoot items, manage user access, and serve as the primary point of contact for inbound Marketplace Shared Service phone calls. Functional Tasks (80%) - navigate the eCommerce administrative platform Marketplace, identify and troubleshoot exceptions, manage user access, build and adjust uPay sites and uStores, use additional software such as PeopleSoft Finance and Microsoft 365, and manage routine and escalated customer service cases from email, ticketing, and inbound calls. Shift Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, and at least 2 years of comparable experience. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrates foundational knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within the Finance and Business functions. Applies general financial and/or business knowledge acquired through education and relevant experience to support operational needs. Maintains high personal standards of excellence; collaborates effectively as a team member; and consistently demonstrates inclusivity, civility, and respect for others. Works independently with minimal supervision; is dependable, self‑directed, and adaptable in changing environments. Engages stakeholders and customers through clear, professional written and verbal communication.
