Resource Coordinator
The Resource Coordinator is responsible for overall operation of the Upstate BWHS office, including marketing BWHS, signing up clients, ensuring that staffing is in place to service client needs; ensuring the accuracy of time sheets and forwarding timesheets and schedules to HR in a timely manner; conducts the interview/hiring process for both non-certified and certified staff and sharing on call responsibilities. This person is responsible for marketing the BWHS program to both in-house and outside referral sources. In coordination with the Regional Director, this position is accountable for the growth and success of the Upstate BWHS office and reports directly to the Regional BWHS Director. College degree preferred, strong ability to multi-task, comfortable working independently, long term care or home care experience a plus.
Four-year college degree strongly preferred; 2-year college degree required; or 5+ years healthcare experience
- Must have a pleasing personality, good telephone voice/manner and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be computer knowledgeable and able to quickly learn new computer programs.
- Must be knowledgeable about home care admission procedure and home care philosophy.
- Must be organized, possess structure for meeting deadlines, function independently, have flexibility and possess the ability to multi-task.
- Must be flexible to assist the home care program in providing 24 hours, 7 days per week care. Some evening, night, weekend, and holiday work will be necessary. Must serve as the on call contact.
- Must be able to travel throughout the service area.
- Must be able to handle emotional issues with a high degree maturity and compassion.
- Must be able to perform the physical aspects of the position including lifting up to fifty lbs and carrying supplies and moving boxes.
- Must be comfortable and capable with public speaking, cold calling on potential referral sources and group presentations as these are an integral part of this position.
- Must be able to utilize technology appropriately as needed to meet the requirements of the position.
