Senior Financial AnalystNew York, NYPosition Summary:Financial Analysis, Planning & Reporting and Internal ControlsPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:Financial Analysis, Planning & Reporting:Balance sheet - cash accounts reporting and analysesReview month-end reports – for accuracy & completenessPrepare and review month-end and year-end entries & closingDebt Instruments - commitment fees on credit facilities & letter of credit paymentsLiaise with banks with regards to the firm's banking operations and optimize interest earned on the firm's excess cashMonitor bank accounts: third party activities in multi-currency accounts & wire receipts reconciliations (from bank to book)Organize financial month-end meetings and compile scrub packageLead and coordinate the firm's financial audit: serve as point-of-contact for auditors & monitor and handle all requests in designated portal for planning, interim, and year-end auditsReview & prepare general journal entriesUpdate monthly Firm statisticsCoordinate with Paris office on transferring funds to NY while keeping enough funds in Paris to cover operational expensesGL accounts analyses and reconciliationsPrepare expense allocation schedule quarterly for professional liability insurance, employee pension expensesReview trial balance reports to ensure net balance to zeroAd hoc & special projects as requested by senior managementPrepare and distribute monthly reports to senior management, and managersPrepare annual expense budget: work with department heads and other offices to finalize individual budgets & review and adjust with CFO and COO prior to presenting to partnershipRent and subleases: enter monthly rent invoices for payment, review for accuracy & prepare monthly sublease invoices for firm's subtenants and confirm receipt of paymentIridium – work with third-party reporting group to implement fields and calculations to Excel cubes and BI reports as neededContribute to firm's insurance renewals – provide requested financial data and coordinate payment of certain insurance invoicesQuarterly and annual bank, government, and law publication surveysReviewing appropriateness of AP expense/banking details for paymentSAM.gov registration and LEI renewalsInternal Controls:Review and approve bank reconciliations for all offices, including outstanding checks and cleared checksOversee escrow transactions, monthly reconciliations and adjustmentsReview bank statement to cash reportPosition Specific Skills and Requirements:Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills requiredExcel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, macros) requiredBusiness Intelligence knowledge requiredFinancial Modeling experience requiredElite 3E Accounting Software knowledge desirableAI knowledge (Co-Pilot, August) desirableSQL proficiency desirableEducation and General Requirements:BA or BS in Finance or related field, required; advanced degree and/or professional designation desirable.5-7 years of progressive experience.General knowledge of Modified Cash Basis.Strong analytic skills.Detail-oriented and a self-starter; strong organizational skills and ability to problem solve.Strong work ethic and ability to work as a team player.Ability to collect and summarize data to prepare clear and concise reports.Strong oral and written communications skills.Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.Hybrid schedule (minimum of 3 days per week in-person in the NY Office).Target salary range: $120,000-$150,000.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or protected veteran status.
