Adjunct Professor of Art Appreciation

Location: NORTH CHARLESTON, SC 29406 Position: Adjunct Professor for Art Appreciation, Charleston Southern University Summary Charleston Southern University’s Art Program is accepting applications for an Adjunct Instructor position to start in the Fall Semester of 2026. We’re seeking candidates who are professing Christians, dedicated to high-quality teaching, and committed to integrating faith with learning. Preferred applicants will possess both the knowledge, skills, and passion to teach studio art courses in Drawing and/or Painting. Work Performed The Adjunct Instructor will teach undergraduate Art Appreciation courses in-person and/or online depending on departmental needs. Part-time adjuncts are contracted term-by-term based on course need and availability. Qualifications Master’s degree in Art History, Studio Art, or closely related field is required. Teaching experience in higher education is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate commitment to student engagement and academic excellence.
