Pediatrics locums coverage in Arizona, supporting pediatric urgent care and ED campuses with a mix of day, evening, and limited night shifts, plus weekend needs. Coverage is needed long term due to satellite hospital expansion.

Practice Setting

• 100 percent pediatric patient population
• Coverage may be across four urgent care sites and ED campuses, typically keeping physicians within a small geographic cluster of nearby sites
• Pediatric ED acuity includes management of critically ill neonates with neurologic, surgical, cardiac, and complex multisystem conditions
• Site volumes include approximately 75k visits per year at Thomas ED, 55k at Avondale ED, 30k at Arrowhead ED, and a newer Mercy Gilbert site projected at 20k in year one

Schedule

• Combination of 7, 8, and 10 hour shifts
• Shift mix includes days, evenings, and minimally nights
• Weekend coverage included
• Also open to locums covering ED shifts

Cases and Procedures

• Repair of wounds and incision and drainage
• If working ED shifts, core procedures may include lumbar puncture, stabilization of fracture or dislocation, and nasal or aural foreign body removal

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Pediatrics, or Board Eligible within 5 years
• Arizona license required, will wait for license with active IMLC LOQ only, Open to IMLC Physicians
• Required certifications include ATLS, BLS, DEA, and PALS
