Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit

Schedule:
Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU
- Current and valid RN license in New York
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- EMR Experience: EPIC
- Skills checklist matching specialty required
- Drivers license with matching address
- NURSYS Report for license verification

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in the intermediate care unit, focusing on neuro, cardiac, and trauma diagnostics.
- Monitor and manage patients requiring complex care, including those on chronic ventilation support.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize specialty equipment as required, including but not limited to temporary pacers, chest tubes, and BiPAP.
- Document patient progress and changes in the electronic medical record system.
- Participate in unit meetings and continued education for professional growth.

- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Floating to other units may be required.
