We offer a lot of room to grow internally!La Mesa RV is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Assistant to support the day-to-day administration of payroll and employee benefit programs.This position will assist with payroll processing, timekeeping, employee changes, and payroll inquiries while also supporting benefits administration, employee enrollments, and benefit-related questions.The ideal candidate is highly organized, accurate, customer-focused, and comfortable handling confidential employee information while managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Payroll Support• Review, compile, and upload payroll information from multiple sources.• Collect, verify, and audit employee timekeeping records for accuracy.• Enter and maintain garnishments, benefit deductions, and other payroll withholdings.• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and payroll system data.• Respond to employee payroll questions in a timely and professional manner.Benefits Support• Assist with the administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance products.• Support new hire benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and ongoing enrollment activities.• Assist employees with benefit questions and provide information regarding available benefit plans.• Review and maintain benefit enrollment information and employee records for accuracy.• Communicate and interact professionally with employees and HR & Payroll team.• Assist with researching and resolving employee benefit, and enrollment issues.• Support employee benefit communications• Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll, benefits, and personal information.• Perform additional payroll, benefits, and HR-related duties as assigned.Qualifications• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.• 2-3 years of payroll, benefits, HR, or related administrative experience preferred.• Previous experience supporting payroll processing and/or employee benefits administration strongly preferred.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.• Experience working with payroll or HRIS systems; Paycom experience preferred.• Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.• Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.• Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.• Working knowledge of payroll and employee benefit regulations is preferred, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, and other applicable federal and state requirements.• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.Why Join La Mesa RV?At La Mesa RV, we value our employees and are committed to fostering a positive, supportive work environment.
