Responsible for preparing food items. Operates kitchen equipment and follows safety and sanitation procedures to serve food. Qualifications :

Responsible for preparing food items. Operates kitchen equipment and follows safety and sanitation procedures to serve food. Qualifications :
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered
- Requires 0 to 2 years of job-related prior experience (Prefer more than 2 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prepares hot food including set-up, cooking and/or serving
- Assembles and serves cold food in correct portions
- Reads and follows recipes
- Operates kitchen equipment
- Checks and assures the correct temperature of food, refrigerator and freezer
- Cleans and sanitizes kitchen facilities, equipment and dishes
- Stocks and dates food and supplies
- Sets up, maintains and breaks down food service lines
- Serves food to students and staff
- Stores and labels leftover food
- Basic math skills required
- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships
- Regularly required to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Other duties may be assigned
