Press Brake/CNC Machinist

Are you a skilled machinist who takes pride in precision metal fabrication? We’re looking for a sharp Press Brake / CNC Turret Punch Operator to join a top-tier manufacturing facility.

If you know how to read drawings, dial in settings, and keep machines running like a charm, we want to talk to you. You’ll be setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC production equipment to produce high-quality parts with tight tolerances.

What You’ll Do

• Set Up & Operate: Mastermind the setup and daily operation of CNC Press Brakes and/or Turret Punches.

• Blueprint Precision: Read, interpret, and work directly from shop drawings to hit exact specifications.

• Program & Adjust: Tweak and fine-tune program settings as needed for seamless production runs.

• Quality Assurance: Inspect finished parts like a pro using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring tools.

• Machine Care: Perform routine equipment maintenance to keep the shop running smoothly and safely.

What You Bring to the Table

• Proven Experience: Solid background in CNC set-up and operation (Press Brake or Turret Punch experience is strongly preferred).

• Setup Capability: Ability to handle your own setups independently from day one.

• Tool & Measurement Savvy: Deep understanding of metalworking tools and precision measuring instruments.

• Eye for Detail: High standards for quality, strong problem-solving skills, and solid communication.

Responsibilities

Responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numeric controlled production equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Understanding and interpreting press brake shop drawings to perform a variety of machining operations to specific tolerances.
• Develop and adjust program settings as required 
• Check dimensions on finished parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers 
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Press Brake and/or CNC set-up and operation

Requirements:

• Several years of related experience; press brake or turret punch experience preferred.
• Ability to set up respective machine.
• Knowledge of tools and measuring instruments.
• Detail-oriented with good communication skills.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 70lbs
