Senior Data Analyst

## Overview

Our client is hiring a Data Analyst to deliver high-quality reporting, analytics, and data-driven insights in support of a U.S. Federal Government agency. Working in a classified setting, this individual will create analyses, reports, and visual products for stakeholders across the department, agency, and broader federal community.


The selected candidate will partner with HR subject-matter experts, data engineering teams, and developers to extract and organize data, establish meaningful metrics, build dashboards, and communicate findings clearly to varied audiences.


This position requires a current TS/SCI security clearance. A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is strongly preferred.


## Responsibilities

- Partner with technical and business SMEs, data owners, and program stakeholders to understand processes, reporting needs, critical data fields, security requirements, and the meaning of analytical findings.

- Execute established research and analytical methodologies.

- Deliver recurring, detailed status updates, reports, and analysis to leadership and customers.

- Work collaboratively and proactively with internal team members and external stakeholders.

- Design approaches for combining, organizing, standardizing, and preparing data for analysis.

- Interpret complex datasets that are specific to the organization and its mission.

- Turn data and analytical results into useful visualizations and interactive dashboards using commercial and open-source tools.

- Create briefing materials that explain technical or complex topics to nontechnical audiences.

- Guide customers on how to interpret and apply analytical products, reports, and findings.


## Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as science, engineering, mathematics, computer science, economics, human resources, or a similar discipline.

- Experience creating dashboards with Tableau or comparable data visualization platforms.

- Working knowledge of Python, R, or similar programming languages.

- Experience using SQL and related database query languages, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.

- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

- Active TS/SCI clearance; TS/SCI with polygraph is preferred.

- Ability to contribute successfully in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

- Willingness and ability to travel and perform work at customer locations.

- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple assignments at once.

- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, client-service, and presentation capabilities.

- Ability to build and maintain productive customer relationships.


## Preferred Qualifications

- Interest in expanding capabilities in areas such as strategic planning, talent management, process mapping, organizational change, workforce planning, data analytics and visualization, and competency management.

- Willingness to pursue relevant professional or industry certifications.

- Prior management consulting experience.

- Familiarity with project management, business analysis, data analysis, strategic communications, or multimedia tools and methodologies.

- A creative and practical approach to solving challenging problems.

- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
