Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Marietta, GA where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role emphasizes critical care delivery, ventilator management, invasive and non-invasive airway procedures, patient and family education, and participation in staff development and performance improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current state Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• NBRC-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (or ability to obtain NRP within 180 days) required upon hire.
• 0-2 years clinical experience with at least 6 months of critical care experience required.
• Experience with ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling/analysis, airway management (intubation, extubation, trach care), and pulmonary diagnostic testing.
• Experience in Epic documentation and adult critical care.
• Effective communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and basic computer/database skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred if not already listed under minimum education.
• Experience mentoring or precepting new employees and students preferred.
• Prior experience supporting cardiac service procedures preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 1800-0700 (12-hour shifts).
• Shift schedule: Nights, 3x12.
• Holidays: yes.
• Weekends: every other weekend required; preference for candidates available preferably weekends only but required every other weekend.
• On-call/calls: No calls.
