Medical Assistant Program Begin your journey as a Medical Assistant (MA) with the Health First Medical Assistant Program in partnership with our two school partners: Eastern Florida State College (EFSC) in Cocoa or Palm Bay Treasure Coast Technical College (TCTC) inVero Beach As an MA, you will work alongside physicians, nurses and other office staff, mainly in medical offices and clinics: Measuring patients' height, weight and blood pressure. Preparing patients for their exams. Updating medical records. Scheduling appointments. Start Your Career in Healthcare Today Benefit from tuition assistance Gain valuable, on-the-job experience while in school – Work per diem as a patient observer, as needed, in a variety of shifts and locations depending on experience and availability. Includes a clinical externship at a Health First location in Brevard County. Easy transition – As a Health First associate you will transition into a full time Medical Assistant position upon course graduation. Eastern Florida State College Program Details Tuition assistance – We will provide up to $5,000 financial assistance to cover the costs of your MA program tuition. Upon program completion, associates must agree to continue working as a full time MA at Health First for 24 months. Prior to applying for the program, please take time to visit the EFSC website to learn more about the MA program. Treasure Coast Technical College Program Details Tuition assistance – We will provide up to $2,300 financial assistance to cover the costs of your MA program tuition. Upon program completion, associates must agree to continue working as a full time MA at Health First for 12 months. Prior to applying for the program, please take time to visit the TCTC website and to watch the short orientation video to learn more about the MA program. The video provides you valuable information on what to expect throughout the course of the program. The program is 7 months (765 hours) in length and is Monday - Friday daytime hours onsite in Vero Beach. Qualifications Must have high school diploma or GED, pass a background check, and gain Admission to EFSC or TCTC Medical Assistant program. Only tuition is covered.
