ResponsibilitiesHazTek is hiring an experienced EHS Coordinator in Austin, TX to be at the center of a safety program! You'll be on the floor, in the field, and deep in the compliance work that keeps our people safe and our operations running. Oversee all aspects of the project ensuring OSHA complianceIdentify hazards, coach safe behaviors, deliver training, and build a safety culture that works on the line, not just on paperRespond to EHS incidents and emergencies: activate procedures, collect preliminary findings, and support root cause investigationsManage the full RCRA hazardous waste program storage, labeling, satellite accumulation, drum logs, and coordination with disposal contractorsConduct daily safety meetings and auditsEnsure all personnel wear their personal protective equipment (PPE)QualificationsMinimum 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or field operations environment requiredElectrical experience required; familiarity with lithium-ion battery storage systems or NFPA 855 is a plusOSHA 30 certification requiredFortlift certifification requiredNFPA 70e is highly preferredStrong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926, RCRA hazardous waste requirements, and EPA/TCEQ regulationsExcellent verbal and written skillsEmbody HazTek's Core Values of Integrity, Compassion, Dependability, Leadership, AccountabilityOverviewHazTek Safety Management is a full-service, objective safety partner, founded in 1997.
