Quality Assurance/Quality Control Technician Charlotte, NC- $50,00-$55,000 Annually Reports To: Procurement Manager On-Site in Charlotte, NC (5 days per week) Seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to help ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards of quality, safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Assurance Technician serves as the front line of defense against product defects and quality concerns. This individual will inspect raw materials, monitor products throughout the production process, and verify finished goods before they reach customers. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in ensuring products are manufactured, packaged, and labeled correctly. This role requires a combination of hands‑on inspection work at our distribution center and administrative quality documentation in the office. Key Responsibilities Quality Inspection & Testing Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods. Perform spot checks to ensure products meet company specifications and quality standards. Verify packaging, labeling, lot codes, and finished product accuracy prior to shipment. Identify defects, inconsistencies, or compliance concerns and escalate issues appropriately. Documentation & Compliance Accurately document inspection findings and testing results. Maintain quality records, inspection logs, and supporting documentation. Enter and manage data within Quality Management Systems (QMS) and internal tracking systems. Assist with maintaining quality procedures and standard operating practices. Identify non-conforming products and initiate deviation reports when necessary. Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action processes. Partner with Procurement, Operations, and Distribution teams to resolve quality concerns. Support ongoing quality improvement initiatives and process enhancements. Distribution Center Support Conduct regular quality audits and inspections at the distribution center 2-3 days per week. Verify inventory condition, storage practices, and product handling procedures. Ensure products are prepared and shipped according to company quality standards. Qualifications - Required High school diploma or equivalent. 1-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Distribution, Food & Beverage, Consumer Products, Pharmaceutical, Wellness, or related industries. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to identify subtle variations in product appearance, labeling, packaging, and functionality. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field. Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS). Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and quality standards. ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification or similar quality certification. Experience in regulated consumer products, supplements, wellness, food, beverage, or manufacturing environments.
