Description Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized measures and observational methods. Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing. Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies. Provide education to patients and their families to encourage ongoing progress beyond session time. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a seamless care experience. Keep precise and timely documentation consistent with local, federal, and organizational regulations. Remain updated on advancements within the field by pursuing continued education and engaging with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . Preferred: ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hiring. Skills Expertise in evidence-informed treatment methods applicable to all ages, with a deep knowledge of both developmental and acquired disorders affecting speech, language, and swallowing. Exceptional interpersonal abilities to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to tailor therapy approaches to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to guide clinical decisions.
